Aeonium haworthii ‘Kiwi’
Susan Sweeney
Greenville, DE United States
This piece was inspired by a recent trip to California where the patio where I was sitting was filled with succulent plants. The plants were in many sizes, shapes and colors and were simple and elegant. The leaves were quite luscious, reminding me of glass and I was inspired to reproduce them in boro. This piece started out as a single plant, but kept evolving, eventually becoming 5 individual yet linked plants that seemed to organically emerge. The worm was a joyful addition to remind me that life isn’t perfect and neither is a display of plants.
The Latin name of this species is Aeonium haworthii commonly known as ‘Kiwi’. It is an evergreen succulent.
