"Acherontia Lachesis” is a glass painting study of the Death-Head Hawkmoth. The piece will be framed and backlit by a LED panel and primarily focus on the top and bottom of this moth species.
The work will be all hand-painted & kiln-fired stained glass by traditional techniques, painted with Reusche pigments. I’ve made a previous example of this moth but I would like to apply a more realistic style with the mark-making and try to go for as close to the real thing as possible.
