Pressed Sulfur Cosmos Flower

15 x 12 x 2.5     As a kid, my family camped a lot. We would take long hikes around our campsite gathering flowers, and we would press them in our heavy books that we always seemed to have in the car.

This piece is inspired by my walks in the neighborhood during Covid-19 shut down. Flowers blooming at every home, sidewalk cracks and edges of forgotten driveways. Pressed flowers was always a fun way of stopping time, while also saving memories.
Techniques used were lampworking, kiln forming and painting.
