Juried Work

Passiflora Incarnata - Maypop
24 x 16 x 18 Lampworked borosilicate glass, enamels and paint on leafs. In a old wood display case that has a small drawer that pulls out. Labeled with paper and ink. I originally thought I would have more leaves but ran out of time. As a scientific glassblower I found using a scientific glass joint 7/15 to hold all the layers of the flower together.
Passifolora incarnata is a native of the United States. Is rapid growing, tendril-climbing vine that can survive winter freezes. All parts of the Passiflora incarnata can be used either medicinally or for food. May be used for anxiety and sleep issues. I really need this.
