3.5 x 3.5 x 1.25     Cypripedium parviflorum, variety pubescens. Common name is Yellow Lady Slipper orchid. I saw this orchid in Newfoundland on the limestone barrens in 2019. It was in clumps scattered all over rocky terrain in depressions where soil could accumulate. I was very taken with this flower and wanted to depict it in glass. The miniature flowers are lampworked then the sculpture is encased in clear crystal, cut, polished, and then engraved on the back.
