3.5 x 3.25 x 1.5     'Awakening', Malus Domestica is composed of blown and hot sculpted (furnace worked) glass that has been sandblasted for a softer finish. My work is greatly inspired by nature. I especially enjoy recreating delicate plant forms with molten glass. I created this version of an enlarged sprouting apple seed, to represent the energy of new life, awakening and emerging from within.
