This piece was created through a lost-wax kiln cast process. The basis of the form is a raccoon skull which has been mounted to be a reflection of itself. I am very inspired by anatomical forms and use them as the basis for a lot of my sculptures. This piece titled "Resurrection" is about the value and beauty that can come out of true self-reflection and the growth that comes from laying down old patterns of decay and self-protection.
